2019 Hydration Station

2019 Birch Hydration Station

The marathon is must see event.  And no where will you be closer to the action that at a hydration station.  Some 7,000 runners will participate in Canada’s largest – and fastest – marathon.  As one of only two IAFF Gold Label marathons in Canada, and a Boston qualifier, this race attracts the best elite athletes and welcomes first time runners.
Volunteers will help to hand out NUUN and water to marathon runners at the 33 KM mark. Right as they prepare to hit the home stretch towards that finish line! This is a fantastic opportunity for all to become involved in the Ottawa Marathon and for students to build their community service hours.

This years marathon is on Sunday, May 26.

As a volunteer at a hydration / water station, you will be responsible for preparing and serving NUUN and water to the 7000 athletes in the Ottawa Marathon event.  Pre-event set-up and post race cleanup are also part of the job. Set up starts at 6:30 a.m.
