Manor Park Rink

We have one of the city’s biggest ice surfaces!  The boarded, night-lit hockey rink and pleasure puddle are built, supervised and maintained by the Manor Park Community Council.

New this year is the addition of the beautiful, lit, puddle rink on the West Lawn!

Please take note of the following Covid-prevention restrictions from Ottawa Public Health and City Recreation:

  • Maximum of 25 persons on the boarded rink at one time
  • Maximum of 12 persons on the puddle at one time
  • Hockey, ringette and other game play activity will be permitted on the rinks with the requirement for those from different households to maintain a 2- meter physical distance.
  • Masks must be worn at all times by anyone within 15m of a rink (residents are encouraged to wear a mask, even outdoors, when leaving their home)
  • Skaters are encouraged to wear masks on the ice
  • Indoor access to the community centre is not permitted
  • Outdoor shelter with physically-distanced benches have been provided

Calling all Rink Volunteers!

We want to make sure the rink continues to be one of the best outdoor skating surfaces in the city! With great ice comes great responsibility, we are looking to mobilize a group of dedicated volunteers to help our wonderful rink attendants ensure the ice is always in the best condition possible.

Depending on the weather we will be flooding the rink on weekday evenings. Scraping the ice and clearing the snow is no easy task, and as they say many hands make light work. It is never too late to join the Manor Park rink volunteer team!

Having a large roster of voluteers will go a long way in helping to maintain the ice. If you would like to be added to the volunteer roster then please signup here!
