Winter Fitness 2023


All Fitness classes take place in the main hall at 1805 de Gaspe.

Winter Fitness Pass

One fee, access to every classes. Purchase the Winter Fitness Pass and attend any or all of our Winter Fitness and Yoga classes between January 9th and April 30. No limit on the number of classes you attend.

The Fitness Pass is non-transferable and can only be used by the purchaser.

10 Class FitnessPass

The 10 class Fitness Pass is still available for those who want more flexibility or who will only attend classes periodically. The Fitness Pass is transferable and can be used by any member of your family. 

Fitness passes are valid for 6 months from date of purchase.

Winter Fitness 2022

All Fitness classes take place in the main hall at 1805 de Gaspe.

Pilates
Mondays, 9:30-10:30 AM

This class uses Pilates principles to help you move with fluid and precise core control, and to feel the ease and strength that comes from moving as an integrated unit. Cate Hachigian, instructor for this class, is a RMT, and is certified in Pilates mat, reformer, and ELDOA osteopathic exercises.  Cate's instruction creates self-awareness of your body, and her individual attention makes this class fun, safe and a benefit for everyone.

Hatha Yoga
Mondays, 5:30-6:30 PM
Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 PM
Saturdays, 10:00-11:00 AM

This is a classical Hatha flow class for all levels. You will stretch, unwind and use different breathing exercises as well as a nice relaxation cool down.

Nina combines gentle Hatha Yoga poses with breathing exercises. Live in each breath as you move from pose to pose, relieving stress and stiffness in mind + body.

Zumba
Mondays, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Dance, jump and smile your way toward your personal fitness goals. Zumba classes combine cardio and Latin-inspired dance for a fun-filled workout!

Stay Strong and Stable
Tuesdays, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Thursdays, 10:30-11:30 AM

Let instructor Louise Hannant guide you through this class with a series of exercises that strengthen the legs and work on balance and coordination. This training can help you prevent falls, add years of independent living, and help manage chronic conditions.

Heart Wise programs have been accredited by the uOttawa Heart Institute.

At Heart Wise programs, participants are assured that the programs meet strict criteria, provide excellent exercise for the heart, are safe to do, promote longevity -- and contribute to an active (and healthy) lifestyle.

Core and Full Body
Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00 PM

Instructor Louise Hannant's personalized approach to group fitness will have everyone hitting their fitness goals. Squats, push-ups, planks, slide planks all build those essential strong core muscles that support and protect during all physical exercises. Enjoy better posture and balance too!

Full Body Workout
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:15-7:00 AM

Everyone age 16+ is welcome to join in this energizing, early morning workout class. The class focuses on high intensity intervals that offer a mix of cardio, core and weight exercises. Class formats are mixed up to keep you on your toes and to help everyone stay motivated towards their fitness goals. All exercises offer adaptations so that everyone can feel comfortable.
