Summer Day Camps in Manor Park: Registration now open!

Be part of something extraordinary this summer! Summer Day Camps in Manor Park, for children aged 4-10 years, are very popular! Families select from a variety of themed half-day camps, with the option of a free supervised lunchtime for those attending both morning and afternoon camp. Extended camp hours (8:00 - 9:00 AM and/or 4:00 - 5:00 PM) are offered for an additional fee at time of registration.

All camps take place in and around the Manor Park Community Centre. All camps combine physical activity, games, arts & crafts, songs, and time in the splash pad. Experienced camp counsellors, with the support of high school students and junior leaders create the camp magic. Each camp has approximately 20 children each.

Secure your preferred weeks in advance. All camps sold out in 2019. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, upon completion of the online registration and receipt of full payment.

Campers must have celebrated their 4th birthday prior to the first day of their camp.

NEW! Litter-Less Lunches at Summer Day Camps in Manor Park:
Help keep our green space green! Litter-less (waste-free) lunches are highly encouraged at Summer Day Camps in Manor Park. Not only is a litter-less lunch great for the environment but also encourages healthy eating and keeps trash and food wrappers from ending up on the ground. Whenever possible, it is encouraged to send campers with reusable lunch bags, waterbottles and food containers.

Campers should bring:
Campers should bring a healthy, waste-free & nut-free snack, reusable water bottle, hat, bathing suit, water shoes and a towel with them daily. It is recommended to apply sunscreen before arrival whenever possible or provided for the camper to apply themselves.

TOKYO 2020: OLYMPIC SPORTS CAMP
From Tennis to Taekwondo, Skateboarding to Sailing or even Gymnastics to Golf! The 2020 Summer Olympic games has it all. Campers celebrate the Olympics with a variety of sports and active games. No need to be an elite athlete to enjoy some fun in the sun at this camp. Girls and boys of all skill levels will enjoy trying new things and cultivating new skills.

SNACK ATTACK
What’s that grumble?! When the urge to snack attacks, satisfy that tummy with healthy and fun to make snacks! Campers will learn to create healthy snacks with whole and nutritious ingredients – some grown right here in Manor Park! Campers will enjoy learning how to make simple snacks and to make healthy choices!

IMAGINATION STATION
Is it an old sock or a scary monster? A tissue or a ghost! A noodle or a necklace? What could be better than letting imagination run wild! Campers will use their imagination to create beautiful and perhaps, unexpected art! Open- and closed-ended art activities will inspire creativity and cultivate problem solving skills.

ECO KIDS
Take action! Make change! Caring for Mother Earth and the world we live in can be easier than you think! Games, crafts and the exploration of our natural world will teach campers about our planet and the things they can do to help preserve our environment and all those who dwell within it!

AROUND  THE WORLD IN 5 DAYS
Slurp a bowl of noodles in Japan. Gaze at the great Pyramids of Giza. Cool down in an Igloo in Greenland. Maybe swim with the turtles in Fiji? Campers trek across the globe, learning about the people, places, foods and cultures that make up this place we call Earth.

FOODIE FRIENDS
Is there anything better than sharing good food with good friends?! Campers will cultivate a love for nutritious and delicious food with time spent in the garden planting or harvesting locally grown vegetables,  to use creating interesting new dishes. Campers can expect to cook and prepare some delicious meals, learn new recipes and enjoy picnics in the park with friends.

OPEN ENDED ART
Imagination is key. See and use materials in new ways to create beautiful and interesting works of art! Campers will use their imagination and creativity to interpret and manipulate art materials into extraordinary things.  Explore! Create! Break the rules! Everyone can be an artist.

CLEAN EARTH
There is no Planet B! Think you could be the next Greta Thunberg? Join the thousands of kids around the globe fighting for Climate Action! Campers will learn about what they can do to help preserve and repair our natural environment. Time will be spent in the garden and appreciating our lush, green space. Active games, art and adventures along the way. Get ready to refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle and rot!

SIMPLE SCIENCE
Chemistry, biology, engineering and more. Mixing, exploring and building are all part of the fun. Campers will be hypothesizing, getting messy and having a blast with simple science experiments. How does a volcano work? How was the CN Tower built? Campers will uncover the mysteries of science and maybe even get covered in slime!
